Lewis grew up near Glasgow and studied music at Strathclyde University. He's been working as a musician ever since and has played with some of Scotland's most well-known artists. For over 15 years, he's been teaching instruments and leading workshops with adults and children of all ages. He's also spent time delivering Scottish Book Trust's Bookbug sessions.
Lewis lives with his wife Kirsty in Burnside, Rutherglen and has two children Edie, 7 and Sorley, 4. He decided to create Louie Ukulele as a place he would've liked to have taken them. He hoped he could invent a space where folk both wee and big could have a go at cracking open the wonder and joy of music, with hands-on fun, homemade stuff, daft wee songs and the odd bit of oddness!
Lewis is always happy to hear from you at firstname.lastname@example.org.
